Mental health is the general condition of a person’s mind, which are both positive and negative thoughts. These can affect our feelings and/or emotions. Just like our physical health, our mental health can experience different levels, and only when we open up about what’s wrong, can we begin to treat the issue. You wouldn’t ignore a broken leg… would you?
Imagine our thoughts are like a rollercoaster; there are peaks, troughs and in betweens. Sometimes they are anticipated, but sometimes they are unexpected.
It is so important to look after our mental health because it is just as important as physical health. Studies have shown that our mental health can have a direct impact on our physical health, and vice versa, as they work in unison. So let’s take care of our mental health and give ourselves some care, just as we would with our physical health.
