Support Groups

Every Monday, 6-7:30pm, at Atherton, we have a support group for young people aged 12-15 who are waiting to access, accessing or have accessed counselling.
This group is a supportive, safe space run by volunteers.
We do arts/crafts, thematic work, mental health work including tips on self care, day trips i.e. in October, we will be going doing waterbased sports, and we have visitors and trainers i.e. recently we have had a knife crime workshop, a volatile substance abuse workshop, autism awareness training and guide dog speakers.
We also have a similar support group every Tuesday, 5-6:30pm, at Golborne Library.
If you are on the waiting list, seeing a counsellor, have seen a counsellor in the past and are age 12+, you can join one of our Support Groups. If you’re interested, please ring 01942 679300 (if nobody answers, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible with further details.
